The Unconventional is seeking a Sensitive Activity (SA)Special Warfare (SW) Planner to provide planning support across the full range of requirements associated with the SOCPAC strategic planning and operational efforts, integrating into the SOCPAC CT OPT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate and support the development and production of the SOCPAC CSP
Provide subject matter expertise and knowledge of National and DoD CONPLAN/OPLANs, Strategies, Directives, and Implementation plans
Facilitate and support the development of SAs and Special Warfare courses of action and concepts of operation for SOCPAC and USINDOPACOM
Provide strategic and operational linkages to concept development and
Synchronize special programs and policy development for the SOJ5
Facilitate and coordinate the development of SA and SW talking points and written narratives for KLEs
Participate in Joint and Operational Planning Groups to provide SOF SW and SA input towards CSP, response plans, and Joint Staff directed PLANORDs
Deliver the analytical rigor and draft proposals which allow SOCPAC to evaluate appropriate SOF steady state and response options to Commander USINDOPACOM, COMSOCPAC, and the Secretary of Defense
Participate with USSOCOM and multiple GCC and interagency partners to provide SOF SW and SA subject matter expertise
Facilitate and coordinate country prioritization documents and presentations
Coordinate revisions and input to assessments
Coordinate input to SOCPAC Strategic and Operational planning
Assist with executive-level updates to senior leaders
Provide weekly input to talking points and executive summaries
Construct concise briefings and point papers and assemble material that supports effects generation
Participate in weekly Joint Staff, USINDOPACOM and USSOCOM events
CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required
Required Clearance: TS/SCI
Former Special Operations E7-9 / CWO / 04-05 level with a minimum of ten (10) years of total operational and planner experience, with at least five (5) years of SA and Special Warfare experience
Five (5) years of experience working in/or with an interagency team environment
Five (5) years of experience in SOF strategic planning, intelligence methods, and program management that demonstrate knowledge of management and oversight of SA operations
Completed DoD academic institution recognized training in SA
Five (5) years of experience in SA policy, planning, coordination, and synchronization support to TSOC/GCC SA planning and operations
Five (5) years of experience in dealing with FO/GO/SES level officials
Two (2) years of experience understanding DoD and USG Interagency plans (IA), policies and planning processes and subsequent development of operations, actions and activities that operationalize campaign objectives
Three (3) years of experience with the conduct of assessments and the quantifying of performance and effectiveness measures
Two (2) years of experience in compartmentalized planning supporting SOF and/or USG IA
