Job Description:
Candidate will work onsite at Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Candidate will work independently and in groups within the team of government and contractor personnel in support of the ATC mission. Performs technical assignments that may not be completely standardized or prescribed for the test and evaluation of soldier systems projects, test items and related material, documentation, training, instrumentation, and methodologies.

• Performs work on Soldier Protection Systems (SS) Torso and Extremity Protection (TEP) Body Armor, Torso and Extremity Protection Modular Scalable Vest, Generation II, Law Enforcement and Body Armor, Multiple Threat/Interceptor Improved Outer Tactical Vest, Generation V.
• Performs one or a combination of such typical duties as: writing and developing Test Plan, Risk Assessment, Safety Release/Confirmation, Test Record and Final report documentation.
• Adjusts and operates equipment, and records test data, pointing out and documenting deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
• Conducts various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement.
• Identifies errors or inconsistencies and takes appropriate steps by advising senior test officer/engineer for guidance.
• May service, repair/adjust, modify, or calibrate instruments or equipment.
• Uses judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seeks sources to clarify information.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• The work of this position is performed in the field where you are subject to the environment and sometimes in an environmentally controlled office environment.
• Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time
• Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Schedule: M-F, 9-hrs/day with every other Friday off
• Leave and salary are based on the Union agreement

Job Requirements

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Job Requirements:

• Must have 5 yr. applicable experience firing weapons or equivalent test and evaluation range experience or at least 60 credit hours or an associate degree and 3 yrs. applicable experience; or 30 credit hours and 4 yrs. applicable experience; or completion of a formal training program and 3 yrs. applicable experience; or a bachelor’s degree and 1-year applicable experience.
• Shall possess basic computer skills.
