Job Description:
STC is seeking a Junior Customer Researcher Analyst to support the Requirements, Assurance and Assessment Division’s (RAAD) User Engagement contract which will support the Office of Systems Architecture and Engineering (SAE) in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS) Line Office. The Junior Customer Research Analyst will play a critical role helping the organization to establish enterprise policies, standards, methods and practices for all aspects of user engagement, including customer communications and relationships management, user needs collection and analysis, usability testing and user feedback processes, user training support, and customer experience. Must have keen attention to detail, be adaptable to different business sectors and geographies, work well in a collaborative office environment, and bring creativity and enthusiasm to develop new methods to better conduct and deliver research to our clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Will help identify, curate, and analyze sources of information in the published literature, including research studies, trade journals, federal reports, etc .
  • Will support the preparation of analyses on selected communities, sectors, geographical areas, or hazards for the purpose of enterprise planning.
  • Will be able to create thought leadership content, generate media interest, assist with strategic planning, or gather better understanding of the market, competitive landscape, or audience.
  • The selected individual will have the opportunity to work on all phases of primary research projects including surveys and focus groups, assist with PR/social measurement, and directly engage with clients and client teams.
  • Analyzes and interprets data to produce reports, fact sheets, graphic presentations, and summaries.

Job Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience writing research reports or conducting literature reviews.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, reading, writing, and communications skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and keep track of deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • An entrepreneurial, self-directed spirit and team player.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in psychology, statistics, marketing, communications, business, social sciences, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of market research experience (or academic research experience within a bachelor’s degree).
