Core Responsibilities

• Build and manage a companywide compensation forecast, including both cash and equity
• Partner with business leaders to develop headcount budgets and track performance against those goals
• Use Palantir’s rich internal data to create financial models & structured reporting that surface insights and drive planning
• Perform ad-hoc analyses to inform hiring decisions and compensation strategy
• Liaise with compensation team, investor relations & management to produce quarterly earnings guidance; identify risks and opportunities to our financial outlook as it relates to payroll and people
• Partner with accounting team to ensure accuracy of payroll numbers & timely completion of month-end close

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience; 5 years or more is preferred.
• Strong experience with complex data modeling in at least two of the following: Excel, SQL, Python, JAVA or MATLAB; familiarity with additional modeling platforms is a plus.
• BA/BS or MA/MS in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, or another analytical field, or equivalent experience.

What We Value

• You have two or more years of experience with financial modeling (such as investment banking, equity research, or consulting), plus at least two years working in finance in an operational setting (preferably at a startup or scaling company)
• You are able to adapt to a constantly shifting landscape and solve complex problems in creative ways
• You can handle sensitive information in a professional and dispassionate manner
• You love meeting new people and building relationships, even in a remote and / or distributed world. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You are highly proficient in Excel and are eager to learn to work with Palantir’s in-house data tools. While not required, more technical experience (such as SQL, PySpark, Python) is a plus
• You have a good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience working with systems such as NetSuite, Coupa, PBCS, and Concur is a plus, though not required
