Description

Under the supervision of the Chief of Staff, the Coordinator performs diverse administrative responsibilities supporting the Office of the President. The Coordinator serves as the assistant to the President & CEO and is responsible for managing their complex schedule. The position requires close coordination with departments across the organization as well as partner associations, external organizations and our members. Although this has been an established position, the selected individual will have an opportunity to elevate it to new heights.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs extensive calendar management for the president/CEO requiring interactions with internal and external stakeholders, executives, and assistants to coordinate a variety of meetings, conference calls and other appointments
Assists with meeting preparation, speaking engagements, and travel arrangements
Compiles and tracks list of items for CEO to review or complete daily; identifying and notating priority items
Distributes communications on behalf of the president/CEO to members, prospective members and other audiences; drafts communications as needed
Prepares expense reports, check requests and performs monthly corporate card reconciliation
Prepares agendas for weekly team meetings, and other meetings as assigned
Schedules and tracks membership visits with current and prospective members in coordination with membership team
Ensures membership database is up to date (for assigned groups)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the Chief of Staff with special projects
Supports the Operations Department with internal community building and event planning
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelors Degree preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of office or administrative experience
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate standard business equipment
Experience multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
LOCATION:
This is a hybrid position with in-office and remote work. The selected person will be expected to regularly work three days in the DC office at 11th and K Street, NW. In-office workdays may increase and decrease occasionally based on business needs.
