All post offer candidates must complete and pass a background check and drug screen.

1. Obtain and maintain a State of Maine teacher certification within six months
2. Complete the PARXIS I&II testing within one year from date of hire
3. Work closely with vocational and academic staff in obtaining each students preferred learning style
4. Create and share contextualized lesson plans; instruct in all content areas
5. Reach academic OMS goals for literacy and numeracy by the end of the Program Year

6. Must be able to drive company vehicles and qualify for company sponsored insurance by holding a Maine

Driver’s License and be free of disqualifying vehicular violations.

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Education. State certification is required.

Preferred: One year in a teaching capacity with disadvantaged youth

Knowledge Required: Knowledge of required subject area, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, excellent organizational skills, must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification, ability to motivate and inspire students, ability to effectively relate to student population.
