NOW HIRING – Field/Prep Technician
This position performs routine prep of coal and coke samples in preparation for lab analysis. Help collecting samples in the lab and prepare them for testing. Detail oriented necessary. You will be documenting results and data. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. periodically throughout the day. Monday-Friday 5 or 6 am to 4 or 6pm. for Field Workers and for Prep Workers shift is 10am to 5pm or 6pm, Typical days consist of 8 hours, but may run longer due to workload. No overtime 4-day work weeks with Saturdays in rotation. Steel toe or composite boots required. Work Pants or Jeans Long sleeved shirts, you will get dirty in this job. Background check is required
Responsibilities
- Acting under the supervision of the the lead prep technician this position
- Performs routine prep of coal and coke samples in preparation for lab analysis
- This position requires a moderate amount of lifting and applicants should be able to lift 50 pounds several times throughout the day
- Technicians must monitor machines that automatically measure, sort, and weigh quantities
- Must calibrate machines daily
- perform routine maintenance
- Correct defects that occur during production
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma
- Steel Toe Boots
- Detail oriented
- Eligible for TWIC card
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
