LCG, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience to supplement and assist our customer staff in setting up and configuring the AWS cloud computing nodes and integrating these nodes to our HPC architecture.

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Gather requirements, design, and implement the AWS cloud computing environment.
• Design Architecture and Configuration Document including defining roles, defining permissions, defining, and documenting the security, diagram showing the integration with the HPC Environment
• Implement Budget Funding Tags
• Supervise, coordinate and/or perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems, and attached devices, including investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software.
• Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems including the evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
• Troubleshoot at the physical level of the network, working with network measurement hardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing of hardware devices at the logical level working with communication protocols.
• Participate in planning design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks.
• Maintain network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
• Provide technical consultation, training and support to IT staff as designated by the government.
• Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems.
• Administration; Developing Reports, Operation and Maintenance Document

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute, (preferably in Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Management) or 8 years additional experience 
• Minimum (8) years of experience administering AWS Enterprise Cloud (EC), including managing, operating, and administering of AWS services. 
• Candidates must have Experience developing and deploying cloud solutions in multiple technologies (AWS, Azure, Google) 
• Candidates must have experience with AWS deployment of AWS services, including CloudFormation, AWS Code and Deploy Pipeline, managing, and deploying ECR images, experience in AWS service deployment, monitoring, and operational support of production environments. 
• Candidate must have strong general programming skills, along with knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Java, Python, Ruby, Golang, PHP and .NET. Networking
• Candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain design documents, configuration settings, network diagrams, roles and responsibilities, naming conventions, and system inventories for any workload hosted in a cloud environment supported by SITB IOST
• Candidates must have experience with management of applications running within containers, including ECS or EC2 
• Candidates must have experience with virtualization. 
• Candidates must have experience setting up and maintaining System architecture/design documentation, System maintenance documentation, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 
• Must have excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills, team orientation, and strong interpersonal skills. Able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. 
• Desired Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Security 
• Federal customer experience supporting HHS, preferably NIH desired.
