Job Description

LCG, Inc. is looking for a Full Stack Drupal Developer to join our team. The candidate will administer and support custom Drupal websites, and the individual will need to identify and create graphic components for websites/applications and incorporate existing and emergent technologies to achieve our business and user requirements. The Developer will support Drupal migration, and redesign projects, and assist with the O&M (operations & maintenance) of Drupal web sites. The developer will be involved in testing, validation, & launch support activities

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, and at least two years working experience in developing and maintaining website, content, graphics, and usability. The individual will be responsible for making sure that web pages and web documents are Section 508 compliant and optimized with accessibility in mind from start to finish.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform as Drupal SME and solutions architect providing guidance and collaboration with the internal and external teams to evaluate solutions and gain consensus for migration from other CMS to Drupal WCMS
  • Provide expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices.
  • A key team member who can think out of the box, has an eye towards UX, and collaborates with managers, engineers, and other team members to achieve goals and objectives set for the project.
  • Design and develop system design document for all aspects of the web site and migration for the content from existing system to Drupal.
  • Facilitate planning for production implementation of solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and documentation.
  • Utilize best practices for version control, documentation, and software interoperability.
  • Work under general direction. Independently determine and develop systems architecture approaches to Drupal WCMS solutions. 
  • Create UI/UX design concepts, mockups, and theme templates in different languages for web applications (HTML/HTML5, JavaScript/JQuery, Bootstrap, JAVA/JSP, and ASP.Net).
  • Perform testing on web pages and documents for Section 508/accessibility compliance and cross-browser testing.
  • Create web pages and web documents that are Section 508 compliant and optimized with accessibility in mind from start to finish (HTML, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF).
  • Support Drupal migration, and redesign projects, and assist with the O&M (operations & maintenance) of Drupal websites.
  • Follow best practices for ensuring code is clean, organized, understandable hierarchy, logical reading order, and has formatting and markup for assistive technologies.
  • Collaborate with team members in discussions and critiques on multiple web applications at different stages of development lifecycle.
  • Lead the Drupal migration and development effort.
  • Create custom migration scripts to migrate the content and assets from a CMS like SharePoint to Drupal.
  • Analyze Drupal modules and provide recommendations on the new website.
  • Create custom modules for specific user requirements.
  • Working knowledge of USWDS components, SASS, and twig templates. Create custom responsive themes that have consistent display across platforms and browsers.
  • Build various sections of the website using Views, Paragraphs, Panels etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Acquia pipelines.
  • Experience setting up local development environment with tools such as Lando, Docker.
  • Experience with hosting providers such as Acquia, Pantheon.
  • Experience with JIRA to track the tasks and confluence for documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Git and experience with source control tools such as GitHub, Bit Bucket.
  • Working knowledge of Configuration Management across the environments.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Full stack experience (site builder, backend, theming) in implementing Drupal 8/9/10 Web Content Management Systems.
  • Experience in migrating other Content Management Systems to Drupal CMS
  • Experience with CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, web services, and web application development
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ability to be innovative with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized in development and documentation.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-based environment.
  • Must have experience working on fixing security vulnerabilities like Cross-browser Testing and Cross-Platform Testing
