Overview

A wonderful family of 4 in Rye, NY is looking for a part-time or full-time housekeeper/cook to start in September. The general schedule for full-time would be Monday through Friday, 11am-7pm. For part-time it would be Monday through Friday, 2pm-7pm. The couple is looking for the right person over anything else and is happy to accommodate for either schedule!

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overall housekeeping of their 10,000 sq. ft. home- deep cleaning when needed, organizing, and general tidying on a day-to-day basis, cleaning of all rooms; bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen, laundry, ironing, and keeping track of household stock and staying on top of ordering more when necessary. Candidate will also grocery shop, or order groceries, and cook 1-2 simple and healthy meals per day for the two parents only, lunch and/or dinner, and will work on a menu for the week with the Mom. On occasion, the candidate might be asked to watch the baby monitor while the baby naps, but the nanny will be in charge of the kids on a day-to-day basis.

The ideal candidate is warm, kind, responsible, honest, organized, reliable, and can maintain an open communication with the parents. Someone with a positive attitude, who takes direction easily, but can also take initiative and anticipate the family’s needs would be ideal. The couple wants someone who can become part of their family, but also values their privacy and employee/employer boundaries. It is ideal if candidates have a valid driver’s license and are up to date on all vaccinations, but this is not a requirement. The hourly rate depends on experience.
