REQUIREMENTS:

• CA Nurse Practitioner license
• Experience in elderly care, 1 year experience as a nurse practitioner in a geriatric setting/ working with the frail or elderly is required.
• Current active DEA license
• Preferred: Bilingual

Essential Functions:

• Conducts physical exams, diagnostic tests, blood draws, EKGs, dressing changes, and other nursing interventions.
• Assesses patients' conditions, formulates treatment plans including prescriptions, and provides ongoing follow-up.
• Educates staff, participants, and caregivers on healthcare issues and treatments.
• Manages acute and long-term medical needs in collaboration with other providers, covering care in various settings including nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
• Provides emotional and spiritual support, manages medical emergencies, and ensures timely, compliant documentation in medical records.

Skills:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must quickly adapt to specific software and new applications.
• Administrative Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Analytical Skills: Competent in analyzing data and statistics, problem-solving, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent English communication skills, ability to work effectively in diverse environments, organized, proactive, and committed to excellence
