Job Summary:
The TPC Clinical Intake Specialist will assess and evaluate the type and degree of a new (or returning) clients mental health and/or substance abuse condition to determine whether services are needed and to link the client to the most appropriate services.
Establish a psychiatric diagnosis, collect data sufficient to permit a case formulation, and develop an initial treatment plan as needed.
Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform new (and returning) client evaluation, diagnosis, intake and assessment, crisis intervention (if required), client education, and program referral and orientation.
Perform a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of assigned consumers.
Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM IV); ASAM placement criteria; Motivational Interviewing; and Recovery Based best practices.
Perform record keeping in accordance with Health Information Services and other Center requirements.
Collaborate with other providers, agencies, and individuals in the consumers' network of care.
Attend trainings, case presentations and conferences.
Maintain cooperative relationships with Center staff, consumers, community agencies and the public.
Serve on appropriate Center committees.

Master degree in Social Work and relevant clinical experience.
LICSW/LMHC required.
5 years post licensure and LCDP is preferred.
Experience providing substance abuse treatment preferred.
Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
