License must be in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.
Must have good leadership and communication skills, must be able to supervise and instruct others.
Assist with the supervision of Nursing Assistants
Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required
Perform ongoing assessments of residents
Consult with physician in providing care, treatment, diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Notify physician of residents incidents/accidents, changes in residents condition, lab work, etc and obtain orders as indicated.
Transcribe physician orders per policy and provide follow through as ordered.
Administer Medications and treatments in accordance with state guidelines, as ordered by the physician and observe for possible adverse reactions.
Administer professional services and provide direct nursing care as necessary.
Complete all routine charting and recordkeeping in accordance with established policies and procedures and in accordance with State and Federal Guidelines
Perform Emergency procedures. Knowledge and Understanding of Infection Control and Universal Precautions
Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education programs
Maintain the confidentiality of all residents information
