Care Animal Hospital is looking for an overnight technician to join our team!

Ideal candidates should have a strong work ethic with good communication skills with the team and clientele.

Proficient in small animal husbandry, laboratory equipment, drawing blood, placing catheters, and replacing urinary catheters.

Knowledge of usage, dosage, and communicating side effects for common/ frequently used prescription drugs and to teach clients of those if needed.

Knowledge of anesthetic and recovery states and the ability to alert a veterinarian at any given time when symptoms change or when they arise with hospitalized patients.The ability to properly extubate, take vital signs, and recover any given patients.

Must be confident around pets that exhibit warnings or aggressive behavior and maintain a safe environment.

Physical abilities:

But be able to lift, carry,and move a 50# animal.

Have proficient ambulatory skills to perform duties while in the hospital environment

Be able to work in a noisy work environment with sounds from animals and equipment.

At least 2 years of veterinary technician experience ( preferred CVT or emergency background)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
