Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Chief Strategy Officer the Grants Manager is responsible for managing overall grant efforts, including research, qualification, cultivation, proposal development, submission, reporting, tracking, recognition, and stewardship of grants, and optimizing the grant administration process. This includes foundation, local, federal and government grants, particularly grants funded by HRSA (Health Resources Services Administration). Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with grant regulations, assessing, implementing, and managing grant databases, engaging with supporting agencies, and collaborating with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities:

*Include but are not limited to:

· Serve as the primary grant writer and manager for all grants. This includes collecting and organizing current research for proposal's subject; coordinating programmatic narrative with appropriate staff members; completing necessary forms and attachments; assembling the budget, attachments, and proposals for submission.

· Comply with HRSA grant reporting and filing responsibilities via HRSA's EHB (Electronic Handbook) portal, including grant applications as requested.

· Research current and prospective funders, support alignment of funding opportunities with appropriate Care Alliance services.

· Performs the full range of actions for grant administration including, reviewing funding opportunities, recommending funding opportunities, attending pre- and post-award meetings, coordinating program and fiscal reporting schedule with staff, track grant progress, negotiate new/changed requirements, remedial action, and/or contract terminations.

· Work with the Finance team to provide precise and complete financial reporting.

· Funder research, database maintenance, proofreading, editing, and administrative tasks.

· Maintains an accessible annual grants calendar and uses the designated software to manage donor database and track individual grant proposals and produce grant status and funding reports. Monitor and report on grant writing, submission, and reporting activities as requested.

· Assist with public relations and fund development activities as requested.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Education and Experience:

Required:

· Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management or another related field required.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing and grants management proven success in federal (e.g., HRSA, SAMHSA, AHRQ) and foundation grant writing

· Experience in non-profit and/or health care industries

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

· Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills

· Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.

· Must be flexible and able to work under pressure and meet all deadlines.

· Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.

· Proven knowledge of "best practices" in the grant management
