To be successful in this role, you must have an understanding of US GAAP, accounting processes, problem-solving skills, willingness to be a utility player, the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Due to the fast-paced environment, there will be ample opportunity to grow and develop within the role and the organization. This position will report to the Assistant Controller based in Redwood City, CA.Responsibilities:•Prepare journal entries (bank/cash, prepaids, accruals, reclasses, allocations, etc.)•GL account reconciliations for various assigned accounts to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP•Support international subsidiaries, including preparation of JEs, BS recons, and audit requests•Reconcile bank accounts•Assist in consolidating the financials and run the monthly financial reports •Prepare monthly/quarterly flux variance analysis for assigned accounts•Prepare audit PBC requests as assigned•Assist in sorting and sending mail/letters to remote team members•Document accounting policies and processes•Identify and participate in process improvement projects for greater accuracy, financial control and efficiency•Participate in system enhancements•Cross train with other team members in the accounting group•Prepare ad hoc analyses and participate in special projects as neededOur Ideal Candidates:•Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance•Public company experience (2 years) preferred•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills•Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a self-starter•Ability to work independently but also be a team player•Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environment•Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal•Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word•Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP preferredCarbon is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their diverse skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
