One of our top clients is seeking a new DON, a leading long-term care facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and enriching the lives of our residents, is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team.

About You:

As the DON, you will be a strategic and visionary leader, setting the direction and ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. You will possess a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges of geriatric nursing, coupled with a proven track record of success in leading and motivating a nursing team. You will be a skilled communicator and collaborator, building strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and executives.

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a long-term care setting.
• Extensive clinical experience in geriatric nursing, preferably with a focus on dementia care.
• A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field is highly desirable.
• A demonstrably successful record of improving resident outcomes, staff satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of the long-term care business model.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• A collaborative and team-oriented approach, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
• Passion for geriatric care and a commitment to resident-centered care.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and manage the nursing department, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and quality standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor clinical care plans and protocols.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor nursing staff.
• Oversee staff performance and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Manage the department budget and resources effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care coordination and service delivery.
• Represent the nursing department at meetings with residents, families, and executives.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in geriatric care.
