responsibilities:

• Manage, support, and grow the engineering organization responsible for building our native mobile products (iOS and Android). 

• Partner directly with our CEO on shaping product strategy, technology roadmap, org-design, and hiring plans. 

• Provide strategic technical direction for the end-to-end development of highly sophisticated mobile applications, encompassing both client-side features and server-side API implementations. 

• Establish trust and cultivate meaningful relationships within and across our engineering and design teams, encouraging a highly collaborative environment.

• Foster career development and align roadmap opportunities with the career growth interests of your team members.

preferred qualifications:

• 2 years of formal people management experience, preferably in leading mobile engineering teams.

• 7 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (algorithms and data structures)

• Demonstrated experience and expertise in native mobile development prior to stepping into management is essential, with proficiency in Swift for iOS development, or Kotlin/Java for Android development.

• Proven track record of thriving in environments characterized by a relentless pursuit of craftsmanship, a commitment to a high-level of engineering rigor, and a culture that fosters innovation. 

• Embraces a supportive (rather than prescriptive) people management style, and recognizes the importance of flexibility and practicality when leading teams at an earlier stage startup.
