The Horizon Engine team delivers the real-time Horizon product experience to visitors on all device types and clients, the runtime capabilities that Horizon Worlds creators use to create compelling content and the engineering workflow improvements that enable our teams to make faster progress. Software Engineering Manager - Horizon Engine Responsibilities:

• Build and manage a team responsible for core features that power the Horizon universe
• Design and build client applications across multiple devices
• Hiring and overall team health
• Championing an extendable application framework and driving a technical direction and execution to deliver high quality products

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7 years professional experience as an engineer including 2 years of hands-on technical team management or leadership
• Shipped at least one game on console, PC or mobile in a leadership role
• Background working on real-time game systems or mobile clients
• Experience shipping products requiring stringent runtime performance practices, such as complex mobile, 3D applications or games
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Shipped user-centric products including two-sided marketplace type ecosystems and/or 3D interactive social experiences such as games
• Virtual reality experience (Rift, Quest, Go, Gear VR, Daydream, VIVE, etc.)
• Complex real time networking experience
• Exposure to 3D interactive development
• Experience in game engines such as Unity 3D or Unreal
• Mobile experience
