Job Title: Assistant Director of Residence Life
Reports To: Director of Housing Operations
Location: Campus View at Highline College, Des Moines, WA
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year, furnished apartment, and comprehensive benefits package
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM), with headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, is a group of student housing professionals focused exclusively on the management of housing communities owned by non-profits and/or highly affiliated with a university.
Summary
The Assistant Director of Residence Life is responsible for providing leadership and vision for Campus View through student engagement, staff leadership and development, creative programming, marketing of the housing experience, administrative effectiveness, and community support including emergency response. This position directly supervises one full-time Residence Life Coordinator and indirectly supervises the community’s Resident Assistant staff.
The Assistant Director must be able to work independently, take initiative, be committed to student learning, communicate effectively, and collaborate with stakeholders both inside and outside of Highline College. Projecting a customer focused and professional image through interactions with all internal and external customers is essential.
This is a full-time, 12-month, live-in position. This position serves in the after-hours on-call rotation for the housing community. Hours of work may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to communicate orally. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
