Main Office Recruitment/Operations Associate

Start: Immediate

Role Type: Full-Time, 12-month position.

Location: Washington, DC

Pay: $63,000K

We are looking for a high-energy, motivated, adaptable, and organized person to join our team as an Office Recruitment/Operations Associate! The associate will assist in the mornings at our main office and afternoons at our various afterschool programs. The main office is in Washington, D.C., in the Tenleytown area, and our afterschool programs operate in the Northwest and Southeast areas. The incumbent will support the executive office in the morning with administrative tasks, such as daily operations and recruitment, and will be assigned to support the afterschool programs in the afternoon.

Main Office & Recruitment Support

Collaborate closely with the HR Department to maintain a highly organized, high-functioning office work area that meets the company's recruitment goals. Including:

  • Answering phone calls, monitoring emails, and relaying messages to appropriate office members.
  • Support the HR team with clerical duties.
  • Support with resume screening and initial phone screens.
  • Scheduling interviews and balancing calendars for interviewers and candidates.
  • Process background checks and clearances.

Cross-Departmental Operations Support

Assists the Executive Director, Office Manager, Assistant Director, and HR Department with different projects and tasks. Including:

  • Support with administrative tasks, including (but not limited to) document creation and sharing, calendaring, email, and written communications.
  • Support the daily operations of the various afterschool programs by filling in for instructors and coordinators.
  • Implement and carry out all CLS policies and procedures.
  • Report to the executive office any discrepancies in procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in an office/admin position setting (2 years).
  • Prior experience working in an HR/Recruitment position setting (1 year).
  • Prior experience working with children in Pre-K—5th Grade, i.e., an afterschool program (2 years).
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible and willing to accept afternoon location changes and fill in.
  • Reliable Transportation.
  • Punctual and excellent attendance records.
  • Excellent references from previous employers.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding work performed.
