Role:

As a Senior Project Manager at Capital One you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company in the Retail Bank line of business. In this exciting role you will work closely with senior leaders to develop annual and quarterly business strategies and then track progress against those plans. To be successful in this role you will need to be well-rounded - a creative, analytical and technically proficient problem solver who understands the business landscape. You will be challenged to manage senior executives through the OKR-setting process both annually and quarterly.

General Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a planning process for senior executives that is efficient, thorough, and comprehensive across organizations within the line of business

  • Own the development of the planning process and related tools including the development of any necessary templates, presentations, and communications plans

  • Demonstrate strong executive communication skills; this role requires the ability to convey plans, points of view and tradeoffs both in writing and orally

  • Manage a large group of stakeholders that includes senior executives, chiefs of staff, communications teams, and partners in finance, HR, risk, compliance and legal

  • Accountable for tracking of organizational KPIs/OKRs, and ensuring progress against our plan is tracked accurately and efficiently, applying strong judgment around escalation of issue requiring attention

  • Successful track record of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; previous consulting experience is a plus

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 5 Years of Project Management, Product Management or Program Management experience

  • At least 3 years of experience building and influencing strategy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 8 years of Project Management experience

  • 5 years of People Management experience

  • Work experience achieving results with complex problems

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills

  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

  • Experience in a leadership role leading Risk, Compliance, or Operations teams, or a combination

This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Monday and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
