Capital Health is Hiring a Business Manager Near Lawrenceville, NJ

Overview

Position #: 12749

Provides oversight, guidance, and management of complex business and administrative operations. Actively participates and provides leadership with critical operational initiatives and strategic planning process for all operational areas. Develops and implements general operational policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and systems related to fiscal management, human resource management, health care administration, managed care administration, governmental regulations, and corporate compliance requirements. Builds and maintains important internal and key customer relationships. Areas include: Legal, Onboarding, Acquisitions & Relocations, Central Resource Office, and other strategic projects as needed (including future administrative areas). Reports to CHMG management team members.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the administrative liaison for the CHMG Administrative Departments which include: Legal, Acquisitions/Relocations, Onboarding, Central Resource Office (and other future administrative areas) when interacting with internal and external stakeholders. Maintains a strong working rapport with all stakeholders, which requires discretion and judgment.
  • Oversees full work stream on various projects, including developing and executing project plans, facilitating meetings, and enforcing project deadlines and schedules. Establishes clear ownership for project and identifies problems and solutions to achieve maximum results. Responsible to conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools, and monitors progress. Escalates issues to senior management when necessary, coordinates documentation and scheduling of all necessary activities.
  • Responsible for overall planning, guidance, and management of designated areas and workstreams. Brings major capital expenditure issues to senior management. Resolves technical, operational, system, and other related issues for areas, processes and projects, in collaboration with attorneys, physicians, management, staff and other departments.
  • Manages collaboration across functional departments and establishes rules and governance to ensure coordination and decision-making. Communicates regularly with internal departments (HR, CBO, Credentialing, Medical Staff Offices, Directors, Property Management, IS, Telecom, Practice Managers) about timelines and status updates. Ensures effective collaboration of clinical and business staff in development of policies, procedures, programs, protocols, and systems, to ensure the medical group maintains efficient and accurate operations.
  • Assists leadership with KPI’s, cost modeling, statistical data, presentations. Makes recommendations, prepares, reviews, and analyzes data from business and organizational systems to assist higher level decision making personnel or management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
  • Tracks and quantifies issues and risks including helping to identify a resolution path and communicating progress and constraints as appropriate.
  • Works collaboratively with other business intelligence units across the health system in working toward developing and implementing a cohesive organizational strategy. Identifies and manages solution process and procedures to maximize efficiencies.
  • Assists leadership in budget, financial and deal review processes.
  • Provides operational, fiscal, and human resources management within designated areas of responsibility. Develops and maintains effective relationships with medical staff, administrative staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Operates in a fiscally responsible manner to achieve operational efficiency and to adhere to established policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Participates in appropriate meetings and on committees as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related discipline. In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, seven years of previous work experience, including some combination of contract development, business administration, project management, healthcare operations, and leading teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree - Three years management experience with some combination of contract development, business administration, project management, healthcare operations and leading teams. Healthcare and project management experience preferred.
  • Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to respond quickly in a fast paced environment; ability to run and interpret reports specific to job areas; experience working with attorneys and physicians.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Project Management Certification preferred. National Legal Professional Certification preferred.
  • A high degree of professionalism and confidence required. Demonstrated ability to establish successful relationships with internal and external customers and senior leadership. Ability to navigate complex work environments, manage multiple demands, communication, and interactions effectively in a fast-paced industry. Ability to relate well to physicians, attorneys, administrators, managers and other staff; as well as with other departments in a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach.

  • Lifting Floor to Waist 15 lbs. Lifting Waist Level and Above 10 lbs.
  • Sensory Requirements include: Accurate Near Vision, Accurate Far Vision, Color Discrimination, Accurate Depth Perception, Accurate Hearing
