Essential Responsibilities

Capital Cardiology Associates is seeking a full time Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant's role revolves around working alongside an RN in our Enhanced Cardiac Access, stress testing departments, and procedure suite. Their responsibilities include EKGs, phlebotomy, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and providing support to medical records and other patient related duties. The medical assistant may be trained in check in/check out as well, assisting patients in this process while verifying demographics and insurance information, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays, and verifying test authorizations. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, communicates clearly, works well in a team-oriented environment, and is able to multi-task.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• MA, BLS and Phlebotomy Certification is preferred
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Strong cardiac background preferred but not required.
• Experience with Medical software and terminology a plus
