As a safety manager, you will lead a team of functional safety engineers and be the interface for the OEM or Tier-1 customer. You will lead the project team through all phases of safety engineering (requirements elicitation, hazard analysis and risk assessment, functional safety concept, technical safety concept, item integration, safety validation). You collaborate with the design team to develop, implement and validate effective solutions.

Main Duties

• Perform Impact Analysis, create subsequent Dependability Plan, define adjusted Safety Case and Durability Plan.

• Work with safety engineers and design domains to ensure the Safety Case convergence and completeness.

• Provide Product Safety opinions to Design teams as contribution to concept choices, RFQ & suppliers choice, change management...

• Provide Safety Requirements feeding design robustness and contribute to the consolidation of Design Verification Plan from Safety perspectives.

• Provide a clear vision of the Safety Customer Events and Safety Case status to the SSTM and the Project (Vehicle Safety Manager…)

• Approve Safety Validation Reports, gather synthesis and lead Safety Reviews

• Provide project overview, current status and related catch-up plans as contribution to Level 3 meetings, Design Assessments, Safety Audits, Safety Releases & Assessments and Durability Assessments, activating reaction rules, trigger escalation and-or deviation when necessary.

Skills

• 6 years of experience in System Safety, or Functional Safety

• Technical knowledge in automotive industry

• Strong experience in product design & manufacturing, product safety & durability

• Expert knowledge of ISO26262

• Excellent communication and analytical skill

• Experience in Project management and leadership

• Experience with Ansys Medini tool

• Preferred: familiarization with tools: PLM, APQP, 3D-Com, Edge, MS Office Applications, GST

• BS degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline, or related discipline
