Position: Spa Manager

Reports To: Rooms Manager

Position Duration: 8 months (April - November)

Salary: 60k annual, plus commisson incentives 

Position Overview: The Pridwin Spa Manager oversees the administrative responsibilities of the spa facilities and team members which include massage therapists.

These duties may be described as, but not limited to:

• Managing the reception desk of the spa by answering all phone calls, email inquiries or walk in request for spa services. 
• Maintain spa scheduling in Mangomint system for all spa therapist based on business demands. 
• Manage all spa scheduling for hotel or outside visiting guests. 
• Maintain the appearance of shared spaces in the spa, utilized by guests during their spa experience or hotel stay. 
• Oversee therapist maintain the treatment rooms to appearance standards of the hotel.
• Oversee therapist execute spa procedures and protocols set by the hotel before, during and after treatments. 
• Oversee the standardization of all treatments to ensure guest satisfaction during any treatment with any therapist. 
• Ensure spa supplies is to par at all times for therapist to provide exceptional treatments. Notify management when par is low and order with authorization. 
• Manage inventory of all spa retail. Responsible for completing inventory EOM. 
• Perform treatments with an esthetician license to maximize services offered. 
• Participate and facilitate ongoing education/training with OSEA, including keeping team up to date with required continuing education necessary for licensing, and ongoing industry trends. Product training and creating SOP for services provided.
• Update policies and procedure manuals as needed.
• Responsible for resolving daily operational situations. Fosters positive working environment and brings forth solutions to continue to raise the bar in the spa.

Administrative Duties:

• Ability to thoroughly and effectively navigate spa software.
• Professionally demeanor on all phone calls.
• Follow opening and closing procedures of the spa.
• Attend meetings as required and update the team with pertinent information.
• Check spa e-mail, voicemail, and Fetch Guest XMS as needed.
• Communicate with Rooms Manager pertinent demands and information regarding the spa.
• Responsible for promoting/communicate and facilitate promotional ideas, trends, and menu changes with spa manager to support spa marketing initiatives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must possess good computational ability.
• Must possess excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
• Must possess good typing skills.
• Must have exceptional organizational skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects daily.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent education required.
• A current valid New York State esthetician license required. 
• 2 years previous experience in a spa or front desk setting.
