Nexus Global Studies Operations Manager
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Director of Nexus Global Studies, the Nexus Operations Manager collaborates on the implementation of over 30 domestic and international travel programs each academic year.
The Nexus Operations Manager assists with program development and management, overseeing the creation and cultivation of grade-specific domestic travel programs, the development of itineraries, and the coordination of reservations and schedules. The Nexus Operations Manager also serves as a liaison for family communication, assists with short-term student exchanges, and oversees the Nexus Global Studies Travel Scholarship program.
ESSENTIAL TASKS

Work with Lower, Middle and Upper School faculty and staff to develop and maintain grade-specific travel programs.
Coordinate travel logistics for all Lower, Middle and Upper School grade-specific domestic travel programs.
Lodging, transportation, museum/event tickets, etc.
Update itineraries as needed.
Collaborate with Nexus Global Studies Operations Assistant on financial account management for all domestic travel programs.
Coordinate family communication for all Lower, Middle and Upper School international and grade-specific domestic travel programs.
Draft and distribute acceptance, wait list and financial aid letters for travel programs throughout the academic year.
Maintain rosters for all Lower, Middle and Upper School travel programs, and coordinate replacements when necessary.
Coordinate and attend parent meetings for travel programs.
Serve as a liaison for parent communication (trip updates, departure emails, etc).
Assist with vetting of travel rosters for all Lower, Middle and Upper School travel programs.
Assist with trip supplies
Coordinate chaperon credit card, cash distribution with Nexus Operations Assistant.
Maintain and distribute medical kits.
Oversee social media content and updates for all travel programs.
Student Exchange Coordinator
Recruit and coordinate host families for visiting students to CHC.
Nexus Senior Travel Scholarships
Coordinate submissions for Senior Travel Scholarships.
Oversee selection process with Director of Nexus, Head of School, and Head of Upper School.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to multitask and prioritize work as needed; ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office, school based staff, students, parents and community; excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in applicable field from an accredited college or university.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential tasks.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
