Cape Henry Collegiate is seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Dance Instructor to help us continue to build a strong performing arts program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance, experience working with students of varying age groups, and a commitment to fostering a love for dance within our school community.

The dance instructor will...

• Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons to students of different skill levels.
• Provide instruction in various dance styles, ensuring a well-rounded dance education experience.
• Create lesson plans that incorporate both technique and artistic expression.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage student participation and creativity in dance activities.
• Assess students' dance abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Implement strategies to address individual learning needs.
• Create and teach choreography for school performances, assemblies, or other events.
• Collaborate with students to showcase their talents and build confidence.
• Commit to 20 hours / week of instruction, specific schedule to be determined based on school needs.

Background and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in dance, education, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a dance instructor with a focus on teaching students of various age groups.
• Knowledge of different dance styles and techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
