Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, promoting their well-being and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Support clients in hospice care with dignity and respect
Qualifications:
- Experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or similar settings
- Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers
- Understanding of social work principles for client support
- Willingness to drive to client locations as needed
