Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
- Implement individualized care plans and behavior management strategies
- Monitor and document individuals' progress and behaviors
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and therapists, to ensure the well-being of individuals
- Provide childcare and supervision as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and nursing home procedures (if applicable)
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
