Canopy Mental Health & Consulting is Hiring a Crisis Responder- Canopy Roots Mental Health Professional Near Richfield, MN

The Crisis Responder- Mental Health Professional role can be part-time, full-time or float/on-
call. Full time roles are eligible for insurance and benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, short-
term disability, 401k with matching). The pay is competitive, with a starting hourly pay range of
$28.85 - $38.46 (equivalent of 60,000 to 80,000 per year).
This role is primarily community based, with required attendance at weekly staff meetings taking
place either online or in the office.
Shift times for which we are currently hiring:
Float:
Staff works as needed, takes at least 2 shifts per month, attends training/staff meetings once a
month.
Monday through Friday (Full-time)
Team 2: Night Shift: 12:30 am - 9:00 am
Saturday & Sunday (Part-time)
Team 1:
Day Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Night Shift: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
Team 2:
Day Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Mid Shift: 4:30 pm - 1:00 am
Night Shift: 12:30 am - 9:00 am
All BCR hirees are required to attend New Responder Orientation. There is one orientation per
quarter, with the next ones beginning on Monday February 6th for full-time, and Saturday
February 4th for part-time/floats. Hirees may attend future orientations if they cannot make the
upcoming one.
Job duties include:
  • Collaborate with a team of mobile crisis responders to provide culturally responsive crisis
response services to members of the community
  • Assess and recommend, and sign off on transportation holds for community members who may
be a danger to themselves or others
  • Respond to emergency mental health crisis calls for the purpose of de-escalation and providing
referrals to community services
  • Collaborate effectively with other first response agencies (police, fire department, emergency
medical services, 911/dispatch)
  • Assess service recipient needs and determine appropriate interventions
  • Provide appropriate referrals to mental health services and community resources
  • Collaborate with natural supports, community members and other service providers
  • Document calls and collect information to measure program effectiveness, in accordance with
privacy laws
Minimum job qualifications:
  • Must have and maintain a valid Minnesota driver’s license
  • Must meet state statute criteria for Mental health professional in the state of minnesota (have a
master’s degree or higher in a human service field and hold a clinical license (LPCC, LMFT, LP,
LICSW) OR have a master’s degree or higher in a human service field and be under supervision
and working toward your clinical licensure (LAMFT or LGSW, etc.)).
  • Have experience utilizing brief interventions with service recipients
  • Have experience providing community-based mental health services
  • Have experience experience and passion for working with diverse clientele
