A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PET CARE SPECIALIST

As a Pet Care Specialist, you get to help keep dogs healthy and happy by providing them with exercise and enrichment. You supervise group play sessions, clean up play yards, and greet pet parents upon drop off and pick up. You are a practical, get-it-done person who takes scooping poop in stride! A huge part of the job is hosing, scrubbing, and cleaning up after dogs. You thrive working with dogs all day, receiving chihuahua-sized love on up to St. Bernard-sized love.

It's a lot of canine energy, but you are able to handle it confidently due to your training, experience, and knack for working with dogs. You make sure that the animals participate in breed-appropriate and size-specific activities and carefully maintain order in all playgroups. Your organizational skills and attention to detail ensure that every animal guest receives all their play activities as expected.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Physically able to be on your feet for the duration of your shift and perform manual labor inside and outside
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to do a heavy amount of cleaning and work following our company's procedures
  • Open availability for a 365 day/year kennel

Previous dog experience is preferred. Dog training is a plus! Do you have a positive, can-do attitude? Are you open and committed to learning new concepts? WORK SCHEDULE

Our Pet Care Specialists work an 8-hour shift scheduled within the hours of 5:30 am-8:00 pm, Monday-Sunday. Usually, you will be scheduled for one of the following shifts:

  • 6:00am-3:00pm
  • 7:00am-4:00pm
  • 8:00am-5:00pm
  • 11:00am-8:00pm
