The Staff Accountant will be an integral member of the team at Cascade, a private equity firm in the health care industry. Cascades portfolio is rapidly expanding and mainly consists of health care real estate in the skilled nursing and assisted living space.
Monthly Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain the books and records including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, updating activity, maintaining the general ledger and preparing a monthly financial package.
Manage all aspects of the monthly and annual reporting requirements, as well as year-end audit for multiple portfolios to deliver timely and accurate financial statements
Assist with the AP process, credit card account reconciliation and cash/wire tracking
Support Controller and Senior Accountant with special projects as needed
Assist in driving change as needed to improve financials for the organization and/or to assist in the response to questions where required
Provide accurate and timely accounting work while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Skills Required:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Ability to think creatively and independently develop solutions to problems
Motivated to learn and contribute to a positive team dynamic
1-3 years of Accounting Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Yardi experience a plus
