Candidate Experience site is Hiring a Senior Staff Assistant - Levine Children's Hospital Neonatology Near Charlotte, NC

This position is full time weekdays in the Neonatology Department of Levine Children's Hospital.

Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) has taken the community to another level of service to provide care for the growing population of children in our region. At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high patient acuity as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 30 different pediatric specialties. We have 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU (including Cardiac ICU), an 85-bed Level IV NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility. Levine Children’s also has Charlotte’s only Level 1 Trauma emergency room just for kids, staffed by doctors trained in pediatric emergency medicine. LCH has successfully ranked among the “Best Children’s Hospitals” in the nation by US News & World Report for over 15 consecutive years. Additionally, Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and Levine Children’s Hospital have earned Magnet re-designation from The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. Job Summary
Performs secretarial and general office work to support the Medical Director or Chairman levels.
Essential Functions

  • Performs administrative duties; types and edits documents, letters, reports, and policies and procedures.
  • Schedules appointments and assists with travel arrangements.
  • Arranges meeting and prepares material for hand out.
  • Answers the telephone, takes messages and refers calls to the appropriate individual.
  • Organizes, designs and maintains a filing system for classifying, retrieving, and disposing of correspondence, records reports, and other documents.
  • Communicates problems and alerts appropriate supervisory staff.

Physical Requirements
Job requires considerable walking, standing, and lifting 25 pounds of material and boxes. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel to perform job. Must be able to perform manipulative skills such as writing, typing, and data entry into the computer. Must be able to speak and be understood by others in order to communicate effectively. Must be able to hear normal sounds with moderate background noises. Exposed to various conditions throughout the workday such as walking hard surfaces, climbing stairs and changes in temperature and humidity.
Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years secretarial experience required. 1 year experience as a Staff Assistant in the System preferred.
