Candidate Experience site is Hiring a Development Director - Workforce Programs Near Charlotte, NC

Leads the growth of our Workforce Development Activities for the enterprise by partnering with our Foundations to grow funding sources for the programs in the markets we serve. Responsible for the design and implementation of workforce alignment with all foundations across system and builds philanthropic strategy to impact community members and teammates of Advocate Health. Creates operations and implementation of funding opportunities for the system, enacts plans, organizes, and manages all aspects of prospective programs and outcomes.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for development efforts and relationship build for Workforce Team with Foundations across the system

• Directs and Manages Development of Programs according to Talent Pipeline needs in all individual market sectors

• Works with Education Leaders to coordinate efforts for pipeline build activities and development efforts as needed

• Provides guidance for Workforce Development Team Leadership for Grant/Funding opportunities and prioritization Across the System

• Ensures Market Development Alignment with System Workforce Strategy Goals

• Responsible for Execution and Operationalization of All Development Opportunities in support of all Career Centers across the Advocate Health System

• Responsible for design and implementation of Best Practices

• Responsible for grant/funding planning to aid in the Implementation, Management and Support of System Wide and Market Based Programs

• Organizes and leads cross functional operational teams to realize objectives.

• Primary liaison between market agencies, leaders, stakeholders, and leadership.

• Communicates on-going philanthropic plan status, potential issues, and timelines as required.

• Plans, organizes, and manages all aspects of assigned retrospective, outcome, and prospective projects.

• Maintains communication as required, to discuss the outcome of any identified opportunities and/or barriers to the successful completion of activities.

• Provides oversight and guidance for all resources associated with project or programs.

• Helps evaluate new and existing strategies and potential opportunities performing cost/benefit analysis.

• Oversees relationship management procedures. Primary point person for relationship management agreements and functions.

• Collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence and HR Business Manager(s) to collectively manage initiatives.

• Performs data tracking and reporting for all Workforce Development related initiatives.

• Responsible for Executive Reporting of all Workforce Development philanthropic activities and expansion of work.

• Partners with the Workforce Development leadership team to oversee the alignment and execution of Workforce Development goals across the system.

REQUIREMENTS

Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, human resources or related field.

Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fundraising and donor relations 
  • Proven track record of growing philanthropic revenue and/or grant funding. Experience in researching, cultivating, and gaining new funding sources
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for internal and external relations.
  • Computer proficiency 
  • Understanding of workforce development programs a strong plus. 

Ability to travel extensively within WI, IL, NC, SC, GA, AL. Can live anywhere within this area.
