Our client, an established, publicly traded, vertically integrated cannabis company is seeking an Accounting Manager as a key member of the accounting team to assist the Controller in accounting operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in running the accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting
• Manage month-end closing and draft monthly financial statements and other operational reports
• Assist in preparing the budget and analyzing variances
• Take the lead in a new ERP implementation
• Assist in hiring and training new staff
• Collaborate with the start up management team explain results,
• Monitor and implement internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets and identify risks
• Ensure proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Assist in estimate product costs to support quoting activities

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years experience in accounting, Cannabis industry experience a plus
• US GAAP knowledge
• CPA or actively pursuing a CPA a plus
• Chart of accounts, trial balance and journal entries experience
• Cost accounting experience
• ERP implementation experience
• Analytical skills
• Ability to demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity
• Team player with the potential to lead to reach a common goal

Compensation: $100,000 Plus Benefits
