CAMS Renewable Services, LLC is Hiring a Vice President - Energy Transition Services Near Raleigh, NC

The Vice President of ETS Operations is responsible for leading the CAMS ETS operations team and is ultimately responsible for everything that CAMS ETS operations accomplishes and fails to accomplish. This position reports to the Executive Vice President of CAMS ETS.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Managing the BESS, solar and wind operations leadership team.
  • Serve as the primary ETS Operations Leader, providing guidance, mentoring and assistance as required to the team.
  • Communicating status to the ETS EVP and CAMS COO.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple ETS functional leads (Director BESS, Director Solar, etc.) to solve complex issues and build a cohesive team across the ETS organization.
  • Operations
    • Manpower forecasting and planning.
    • Performing oversight of operations in the areas of safety, operating performance, regulatory requirements, financial performance and reporting.
    • Assisting in prioritizing resources.
  • Safety
    • Fostering a sense of safety ownership amongst the operations team, elevating the safety culture.
    • Ensuring safety training and compliance.
    • Reviewing and approving safety manual procedures.
  • Financial
    • Reviewing ETS operations financials and performing variance analysis.
    • Identifying and exploiting opportunities to improve margins.
    • Reviewing annual budgets.
    • Reviewing and approving payment of invoices for ETS.
    • Reviewing and approving expense reports for direct reports.
  • Business Development
    • Review, edit and approve RFP’s from CAMS BD team.
    • Participating in meetings with prospective customers.
    • Participating in meetings with existing customers regarding new RFP's.
    • Assisting in contract development and negotiation, taking the lead for operations.
  • Customer Relations
    • Monitoring and managing customer relations.
    • Being a point of escalation for the customer if major customer issues arise.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure Operations maintains sites’ compliance with safety, environmental and NERC/ERCOT regulations.
  • Human resources
    • Review and approve training programs/curriculum for ETS operations.
    • Approving time off requests for direct reports.
    • Completing informal six month performance reviews and formal annual reviews with direct reports.
    • Reviewing direct report individual goals and monitoring progress.
    • Annual compensation process for team.
    • Hiring new management team members.
    • Onboarding new management team members.
    • Reviewing key hires by direct reports.
    • Develop staff for career progression.
    • Recruit and hire management staff.
  • Bachelor Degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years' wind turbine operations experience.
  • Knowledge of wind turbine industry operations, safety practices and government standards.
  • Knowledge of BESS and solar operations preferred.
  • Experience leading operations safety.
  • Experience leading and managing an operations team over a widespread geographical area.
  • Knowledge of budgeting process and financial analysis.
  • Experience in developing proposals for new business.
  • General knowledge of compliance with regard to operations – EHS, NERC, ISO.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Documentation management.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to ~20%.
