Description
Campus Child Care, Inc. is currently interviewing for EEC certified Preschool and Pre-K Teachers for its Botanic Gardens Children’s Center (BGCC), one of seven that are located across Harvard University's campus.
Botanic Gardens Children’s Center is an inclusive community which values uniqueness among our children and diversity in families and staff members. We seek to provide a place where all are welcome and where each of us shares the responsibility for contributing to the strength of our community through mutual respect, kindness and partnership. Our teachers engage with children during play to understand each child’s interests, passion and need to explore the world around them. We believe that it is crucial for children to develop a strong sense of connection and trust and that this is achieved through unconditional care for the child.
We seek teachers who have experience planning emergent, open-ended curriculum, documenting children's growth, performing children's assessments, and have experience working as part of a collaborative team. Qualified candidates will be warm, flexible and committed to the field of early childhood education. Candidates should have experience working with preschoolers, have a deep understanding of child development, be able to establish trusting relationships with the children in their care, and work well within a team. Strong communication skills are required. We seek teachers with at least two years of experience in either a head or lead teaching role and a Bachelor's degree in ECE or a related field. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
