Campbell Dermatology and Aesthetics is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near McMinnville, OR

Description:

The primary role of the Medical Receptionist at Campbell Dermatology and Aesthetics is to provide excellent patient satisfaction every day with every patient. Make our patients feel comfortable and welcome. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing support to our clinic team members. A successful candidate must possess a willingness to complete job duties as required. The receptionist is responsible for basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting patients with a consistent positive attitude. Must demonstrate organizational skills and be able to perform well in stressful situations.

Requirements, Functions and Duties:

  • Answer phones/check voicemails and return phone calls to patients in a professional and timely manner.
  • Direct phone calls to appropriate staff.
  • Register patients according to established protocols.
  • Greet patients as they come in with a friendly, and professional manner.
  • Schedule follow up patient appointments.
  • Check-in and Check-out patients.
  • Collect Copays, Co-Insurance, deductibles, and balance at time of service.
  • Access patient charts and prepare for upcoming appointments/referrals.
  • Coordinate with Billing on how to address the scheduling of patients with balances that are not being paid.
  • Handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with HIPAA compliance and clinic confidentiality standards.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide a consistent and professional demeanor in all duties throughout the day while maintaining a positive customer service environment.
  • Understand and maintain HIPAA compliance requirements and patient information confidentiality.
  • Notify the appropriate health care team member of canceled or missed appointments.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and presence.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and be willing to function as part of a team.
  • Maintain clean, pleasant reception area for patients.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and submit order to Practice Manager.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Ability to commute/relocate: McMinnville, OR 97128: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education and/or Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Some college-level coursework preferred.

Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (Required)

Receptionist: 1 year (Required)

Computer skills: 1 year (Required)

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as: computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 10-25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
