Mission/Objectives

As the VP / Head of Regional Supply Chain Americas, this leadership role is instrumental in defining and executing the supply chain strategy for the Americas region while delivering the daily execution of business metrics to agreed performance levels. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Supply Chain, the mission is to serve as the face of Supply Chain with the Business and the voice of the Business with Supply Chain. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing service levels while overseeing the execution of Regional and Local Supply Chain operations within the Americas.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Supply Chain Leadership and Strategy:
  • Act as a key bridge between senior internal business leaders and supply chain, ensuring that supply chain strategies align seamlessly with broader business objectives.
  • Establish strong communication channels and promote collaboration between the Commercial Business and Supply Chain functions.
  • Service Level Enhancement:
  • Formulate and implement strategies aimed at elevating service levels across the Americas region, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement and proactively drive improvements.
  • Regional Planning, Innovation, Logistics and Customer Service Operations:
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for all facets of supply chain operations in the Americas, with direct accountability of Planning, Logistics (both hub and site-based warehouses), Customer Service, and Innovation Projects.
  • Foster the growth and development of the regional Supply Chain team through leadership and mentorship.

4. S&OP Process:

  • Drive the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process within the Americas region, ensuring effective coordination and alignment of demand planning, supply, and inventory strategies.
  • Cultivate cross-functional collaboration with Commercial and Finance to optimize the S&OP process and enhance overall business performance.
  • Functional Coordination and Collaboration:
  • Maintain a dotted-line reporting structure into all other Supply Chain functions in the Region, including Manufacturing & Engineering, Health & Safety, Procurement, Quality, R&D, and Contract-Manufacturing.
  • Act as a coordinator and facilitator, ensuring seamless collaboration, alignment, and follow-through on Supply Chain initiatives across functions.
  • Multi-Functional Initiatives:
  • Provide leadership and direction for Supply Chain functional initiatives that necessitate multi-functional efforts or significant projects.
  • Guide and align cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and the achievement of objectives.

Key Relationships

Internal: Regional Leadership Team; Global Supply Chain Leadership Team; Business Unit Managing Director; Country Managing Directors

External: Consultants eventually involved in projects, education institutions, external candidates

Experience & Education & Skills

  • Minimum 18-20 years of proven experience within SC departments of multinational manufacturing companies in consumer goods industry, with minimum 10 years in leadership roles.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain operations, demand and supply planning, logistics, and customer service
  • Direct experience in Industrial Operations
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
  • International working experience
  • Must be familiar with cross-cultural issues
  • Previous experience in the FMCG or the premium spirits or beverage industry is advantageous.
  • Fluency of English is a must, knowledge of another languages is a plus

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $403,000 - $470,100. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors and considerations. In addition to base salary and a generous employee benefits package, employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
