Camp Nebagamon is seeking a Camp Nurse for the 2024 camp season. The Camp Nurse operates camp's medical service, in collaboration with the camp directors and rotating resident physician, aided by two nurse’s assistants. The Camp Nurse presides over two "sick calls” daily, medication distribution, and routine, acute, and emergency health needs of the whole camp community (200 campers and 130 staff), as well as our eight-bed health center. Specific responsibilities include keeping and organizing health records for all health center activities, conducting physical exams on campers, providing care for inpatients, such as food, medication, and TLC, and communicating health needs with the rest of camp’s administration. Qualified candidates should have an RN or similar certification, current CPR and first aid certifications, and work experience with children. Dates for the Camp Nurse are 6/9/2024 – 8/11/2024, including a one-week staff training period and an eight-week camping session. Salary is negotiable based on experience, starting at $1,400/week. Room, board, laundry, and travel allowance are provided. Family housing and free camp for your kids(!) is available.
