The company has many elements combining industry-leading R&D, state-of-the-art test facilities, in-house manufacturing and quality control, dedicated customer technical support and sales. Our regular customer base includes a vast range of major electricity utilities across the globe such as PG & E, ConEd and ComEd.

With headquarters in Northern Ireland, Camlin Group now comprises of a number of international companies made up of a combination of engineering design, production, technical support. Camlin Energy also has sales & service centres in Lisburn, Chicago, Shanghai, Sao Paulo & Germany.

We are seeking an energetic and driven Business Development Associate to join our North American team to cover the West Coast region of the USA. This position is vital to manage our current customer base and to support our ongoing expansion in the USA. This is seen as an exciting opportunity for a candidate keen on furthering their career in sales and business development.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Responsible for the achievement of defined sales, and gross profit targets for Camlin Energy’s range of asset management products and services by identifying important opportunities with key customers within your defined region.
  • Directly engage with all appropriate customers to plan, develop and control the implementations of sales initiatives to achieve orders volume and profitability targets for agreed product lines / systems / services in the agreed sales territory.
  • Assist with identifying the market requirements and specifics, develop and execute the strategies and tactics for growth of orders and profitability.
  • Monthly forecasting using Salesforce CRM with a strong ability to communicate pipeline status and progression to senior management
  • Deliver upon margin and revenue expectations.
  • Develop yearly sales forecasts in cooperation with regional management
  • Participate in customer development activities as trade shows, fairs, conferences aiming to promote the sale of solutions, products, and services. Proactively establish strong customer relationships across all channels, within end-users by face-to-face contact and networking to create additional business.
  • Cooperate closely with internal teams to ensure the appropriate delivery of commitments to customer and maximize the customer’s overall satisfaction.
  • Extensive travel will be required to meet customers. Work hours other than Monday-Friday, including working overtime, as may be required. International travel may also be required for training or support of Camlin business.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Associates Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business-related discipline
  • 3-year proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Able to demonstrate prospecting experience
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Must have excellent verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with people of all levels within an organization
  • Capable of working independently
  • Driving license
  • Strong knowledge of all MS Applications.
  • Role may require international travel to headquarters for training
  • A positive "can do" enthusiastic attitude towards addressing the technical challenges facing Camlin and our clients.
  • Camlin Energy can only offer contracts of employment to applicants who are already legally authorized to work in the United States

DESIRED CRITERIA

The following skills will be valuable but are not essential:

  • Previous experience selling complex technical solutions in the electric utility market an advantage
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM systems an advantage
