Position Summary
The Additive Department CDL Class A Hazmat driver is a pivotal role stationed at our Corporate Branch Office. This role is instrumental in ensuring the prompt and safe delivery of additives both locally and to our NJ location, as well as other out-of-state assignments. In addition to transporting goods, this role has a core focus on adhering to safety standards, particularly those set by DOT, OSHA, and Transafe.
Minimum Requirements
•High School Degree or equivalent.
•A minimum of three years or relevant and progressively responsible experience.
•Valid Class A CDL with:
oTanker Endorsement
oHazmat Endorsement
oAir Brakes qualification
•Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
•Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card
•Medical Certificate
•Manual Transmission Experience
•Offloading and Loading Experience
•Successful completion of a pulmonary test for respirator use.
•A valid driver’s license or equivalent.
•Strong communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and fellow workers.
Responsibilities
•Safely transport hazardous materials
•Comply with all DOT, OSHA and in-house regulations and rules.
•Deliver liquid product to customers locally and regionally.
•Promptly report any safety concerns to the management safety team.
•Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
•Accurately maintain logs and paperwork.
•Wear required PPE as necessary.
•Pay is contingent on experience.
•Be available for on-call requests post working hours.
Fitness for Duty – Physical Demands
Workday may consist of 8-10 hours subject to variation. Much of the work is performed outdoors, wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and could include exposure to high and low temperatures for a prolonged duration of time.
