Camellia Women’s Imaging is a new private Breast Center in Hoover, AL. The center is run by a fellowship trained breast radiologist and is focused on providing top quality care. We perform 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, bone density and stereotactic, ultrasound and 3D guided breast biopsies. Our focus is providing the best technology, highest quality care, while minimizing patient anxiety that is associated with the breast imaging process. We are highly focused on excellent communication with patients and have a very positive work environment.

Camellia Women’s Imaging is looking for the right person to join our team. We are committed to providing an exceptional patient experience. This position is a full time front office receptionist. You will be the first point of contact for patients and must maintain a courteous and professional attitude. This position will handle various tasks in our front office and plays an important part in communicating effectively with patients. Responsibilities include scheduling patients, entering patient information and insurance, maintaining an organized workflow, working patient call lists including no shows and reschedules, obtaining physician orders and authorization forms, making daily appointment reminder calls, and other office duties assigned by management.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the reception area is ready daily to receive patients
  • Responsible for answering incoming phone calls, scheduling patient appointments and making daily reminder calls to patients.
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Responsible for obtaining identification, insurance verification and entry of patient demographics
  • Responsible for daily working patient call list.
  • Responsible for obtaining physician orders and patient authorization forms
  • Maintain strong working relationships with referring physicians
  • Effectively working incoming faxes - properly scanning and naming received documents
  • Responsible for calling new and existing patients that have been referred to set up initial and follow-up appointments.
  • Communicate effectively with provider offices to obtain prior reports and images
  • Loading and burning patient medical records and films.
  • Responsible for answering and compiling emails
  • Comply with all confidentiality policies and HIPPA regulations
  • Interact with patients regarding their current diagnostic and treatment plan.
  • Help coordinate with doctor’s offices and hospitals regarding follow-up care for patients.
  • Assist management with light clerical duties and support functions

Requirements:

  • Be passionate about breast cancer screening and early detection

Experience and Education:

  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical Office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s (Preferred)
