Registers guests at check-in and assures the rooms are cleared and ready for checkout observing the Hospitality House policies and procedures. Assures payment at check-out observing motel policies and procedures regarding method of payment when assisting at the inn as needed.
Responsibilities
• Registers guests and assigns room, maintains log. • Issues room key and directs guests to rooms. • Answers telephone, receives and relays calls and messages, maintains log. • Answers room service calls and guests' inquiries. • Keeps room availability records and guest accounts. • Computes bill, collects payments and makes changes when assisting the motel. • Employs a pleasant manner at all times. • Operates basic business office equipment. • Maintains postage stamp log when assisting the motel. • Maintains petty cash records when assisting the motel. • Collects payments in cash, credit cards, checks and posts transaction accordingly when assisting the motel. • Prepares coffee for guests during midnight shift. • Vacuums lobby on midnight shift or when needed. • Has authority to make decisions to ensure the efficient operation of the Hospitality House and the Medical Center Inn during the absence of the Manager. Contact the manager if the need arises with extenuating circumstances.

1. Maintain and document all applicable required education. 2. Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations. 3. Comply with the company's attendance policy. 4. Participate in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution. 5. Perform work in a cost effective manner. 6. Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies, including but not limited to, overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations. 7. Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization. 8. Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable. 9. Perform related duties as assigned.
