CAMC Health System is Hiring an Accounting Analyst Non-Exempt -- Revenue Integrity -- General Hospital Near Charleston, WV

Support accounting and financial reporting department in maintaining, developing, implementing, and upgrading departmental information and reporting systems. Developing reports, editing and retrieval of business data, and assist in preparation of month end reporting process to meet the business needs of the department and system organization. Managing the complex interrelationships of integrated systems and links. Provide support and education to end user of systems within the department and external as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of set up, maintenance, and general functionality of accounting and financial reporting information system(s) and how to retrieve data. Create and maintain chart of accounts, departments, accounts, projects, allocations, and reports. Report writing for Infor/Lawson system or other systems as needed. Ensuring accuracy of system created reports as they are developed and revised. Provide support to the patient revenue accountant in maintaining the patient revenue system interface and general ledger routing. Help trouble shoot and resolve issues related to data retrieval, upload files, and interfaces. Be instrumental in data retrieval and data analysis as requested, maintaining an awareness of accounting implications. Understand system capabilities and processes to be able to coordinate identification and implementation of process improvements, especially efficiency of functionally that can be gained by utilization of automated processes or by simplifying business processes. Coordinate, develop and lead training (within accounting and financial reporting and across departments/companies) on information systems and processes. Training and motivating others in adoption of integration of technology. Participate in work groups, committees, etc as a financial representative and expert on information system(s) and interfaces. Maintain a productive working relationship with IT and other business partners, including 3rd party technology partners and providers. Support/creation of month end reporting package (board report/slides/ links etc) for upper management and other reporting as needed. Exercise tact in all oral and written communications with whom professional contact is made to include support and communication with administrators, directors, manager and customer populations. Facilitate intra and inter-departmental communication to increase effective outcomes. Maintain and document all applicable required education. Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations. Comply with the company's attendance policy. Participate in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution. Perform work in a cost effective manner. Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies, including but not limited to, overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations. Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization. Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable. Perform related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact) The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients. Competency Statement Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.
