Cambridge Public Schools is Hiring a Program Manager, Title I Department Near Cambridge, MA

Position: Program Manager (0.5 FTE/ 20 Hours per Week, 12 Months)
Title I Program

The Role:
The Title I program in the Cambridge Public Schools provides financial resources to schools with high percentages of children from low-income families to ensure that all children meet challenging academic standards.

Located within the Office of Student Services, the Program Manager will support all operational aspects of the Title 1 program. The position reports to the Director of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.

The Program Manager will work closely with multiple stakeholders in the district, including school leaders, curriculum directors, operations staff, independent school partners, and district leadership to ensure high quality instructional experiences that are well-organized, culturally responsive and joyful experiences for CPS students.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Ensure successful program management of projects across district Title I programs
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to manage budgets for Title I programs. This includes strategic planning as well as routine duties, such as management of requisitions, purchase orders and maintaining appropriate records for school fiscal affairs in accordance with district policies/procedures
  • Partner with stakeholders across the district to document, define, and design timelines to support the delivery of programs, projects, and processes
  • Drive alignment and support adherence to deadlines with key stakeholders and departments in the district for successful deliverables
  • Support the Director of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support in obtaining, organizing, and documenting school and district compliance with state and federal Title I mandates
  • Foster a positive and supportive climate, engendering trust and a sense of shared responsibility by working directly with program staff and remaining accessible to staff throughout the year
  • Other duties as assigned
Your Skill Set:
As the incoming Title I Program Manager, you will possess many, though perhaps not all, of the following characteristics and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Three years of experience collaborating and leading teams within public school districts, city departments, after school/summer programs, and/or community-based agencies preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Culturally proficient and responsive.
  • Ability to communicate, and work effectively with people from diverse ethnic, educational, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Strong project management skills, administrative experience, and ability to coordinate the work of cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with district and school staff, families, human service providers and out of school time partners.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis, program planning, and evaluation.
Cambridge Public Schools is committed to slowing and/or stopping the spread of COVID-19. Terms of Employment:
20 hours per week, 12 months per year. This position is a grant-funded position.

Salary: $44,436 - $ annually
