Position Purpose

The Associate Director oversees a broad range of business, operational, and administrative support for the Professional offerings at BrandEd’s four schools —Sotheby’s Institute of Art, The School of The New York Times, City Football Leadership Institute, and Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design. The position is responsible for creating and implementing all phases of the lifecycle of an applicant or registrant from inquiry to enrollment. The Associate Director will bring a progressive and proactive approach to the prospect journey with the goal of providing the best possible experience for students and outcomes for the schools. The Associate Director is responsible for fostering a productive, motivating environment in support of the Professional Courses and Programs enrollment team in London and New York, and for creating policies, procedures, and protocols that guide this work. This position reports to the Global Head of Admissions, Collegiate and Professional.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include the following, but the individual will also be expected to perform all the duties necessary which are customarily performed by a person holding this position. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees the efficient processing of all applications and registrations for admission to the professional courses and programs and supervises and monitors productivity goals for the Admissions Officers/Enrollment Assistants in both London and New York to ensure a holistic, global approach is being maintained across an international prospect pool and global campuses.
  • Co-coordinate outreach strategies with Global Head of Admissions, including oversight of the communication plan to address domestic and international inquiries and advise prospective students.
  • Co-coordinate outreach strategies with Global Head of Admissions for developing professional relationships with partner organizations or companies to increase enrollment for professional offerings.
  • Support the planning, organizing, and delivery of online and in-person recruitment events and represent the schools at student recruitment events.
  • Provide regular analysis and reports to senior management and departmental stakeholders that address key metrics, highlight trends, and provide solution and action-based data.
  • Liaise with faculty and administrative leadership.
  • Work closely with marketing department and academic staff to develop, implement, and evaluate conversion plans which maximize conversion outcomes from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Research and suggest innovative new initiatives to move prospective students through the discovery and application process.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations as well as help develop training in response to initiatives and staff needs.
  • Contribute to the culture, positivity, and growth mindset of the Professional and Collegiate admissions team.

  • Experience with automated database systems, including a CRM (Salesforce, preferable) and Student Information System.
  • Exceptional written, oral, and organizational skills
  • Eloquent and persuasive writing skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to speak to a range of programmatic offerings with a diverse group of prospective adult participants
  • General reporting and analysis skills, as well as working knowledge of building effective visual data reports through charts and tables
  • Ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external contacts.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and data-driven
  • Demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy in interpersonal relationships

  • Regular weekday (Monday-Friday) attendance/availability is required during core business hours
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary

Education, Work Experience and/or Licensure

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 3-5 years experience in admissions, public relations, corporate and business development, marketing, or other related industries
  • Experience in admissions for continuing education programs and/or sales strategy strongly preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
