Position Summary

The (Field Manager) is responsible for assisting the Regional Manager with daily operations and sales processes across their portfolio with a strong focus on customer service, resident retention, and creating value for all stakeholders. This position may require extensive travel throughout the portfolio for the benefit of mentoring, training, and developing teammates within the region. The (Field Manager) is expected to manage and work with their team onsite and remotely, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives and representing the company’s core values.

Duties and Responsibilities

What you will do:

The qualified individual will work as an integral part of operational and sales teams to perform the following essential job functions:
  • Serves as first point of contact for all training questions and needs from the communities assigned.
  • Develop consistency in region including employee meetings, lease and sales process, filing, collections, onboarding, advertising, refurb, etc.
  • Communicate updates on policies and procedures at regional meetings or on region conference calls.
  • This position may be called upon to cover communities for undetermined lengths of time in the event of a Community Manager absence.
  • On-board either one-on-one or in small groups, including new Community Managers, Sales and Leasing Agents, Office Coordinators and/or Maintenance Staff to educate on company policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and necessary timelines throughout the portfolio.
  • Manage and increase occupancy through home sales, home leasing, site leasing, and actively marketing the communities as needed.
  • Create and maintain a positive community environment (may including resident activities
  • Handle and resolve resident/customer service issues in a timely and professional manner when able.
  • Assist with enforcing Cambio’s curb appeal requirements to ensure our residents have a place they are proud to call home.
  • Oversee and assist with the rent collection process, ensuring the delinquency process is being handled consistently at each community.
  • Reporting as needed to the Regional Manager on all aspects of the community including but not limited to; staffing needs and observations, sales strategies and suggestions, and operational improvements.
  • Participate in the monthly sales and occupancy variance reporting process.
  • Position may require flexible hours, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

What you should have:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus two years related experience in sales, where housing sales experience is preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid driver license and clean driving record.
  • Must maintain an active and working personal mobile phone.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite, including email and internet use.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
  • A growth mindset; always testing and learning.
  • Willingness and ability to present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner always throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This job may directly supervise one or more employees within the sales department at two or more properties.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
  • The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 20 pounds.
