The Contractor Safety Manager/Project Construction Manager Advisor duties and responsibilities include providing Environmental, Health, Safety and Security over Site Contractors and be the Contractor Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to ensure that SABIC EHSS Contractor Rules, Goals and Metrics are met. Ensures efficient scheduling and coordination of the Contractor Review Council, Weekly Contractor Safety Leadership Meeting, Weekly Core Leadership Meeting, and serves as backup to the CAP/Safety Administrator Role and Duties. Ensure compliance with eSHEMS, SHEM 05.00 and OMS 313. Supports managers, contractors and employees through a variety of tasks related to all aspects of EHSS as the Contractor SME. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Expert at Life Safety Critical Policies such as LOTOT, CSE, HW, LB, Excavation, Elevated Work, Critical Lifts, and other Life Safety Rules. Ability to effectively communicate and correct issues found in the field. Ensure that required duties are completed accurately, delivered with high quality and in a timely manner to all stakeholders. Rely on experience and judgment to plan, do, check, adjust and accomplish goals and with a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Will report to the Lead Engineer, Safety and Contractors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Use all current MS Applications including Word, XL, PowerPoint, PDF, Outlook, Email, Skype, Teams.

· Serve as backup to the Contractor Approval Package Safety Coordinator in all aspects.

· Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.

· Provide information by answering questions and requests

· Provide technical assistance and expertise on projects in the field to ensure that Safe Work Practices are being utilized, inspections of worksite projects are being completed, and that all Contractors are following OSHA Standards and SABIC Rules.

· Ensure that ALL Permits are completed and adhered to. Such as Contractor, LOTO, CSE, LB, HW, Excavation. Ensure Work STOPS and Stand downs occur if Permitting issues arise.

· Handle multiple Projects, Advise Multiple Construction Project Managers and Contractors on EHSS issues and requirements concerning OSHA Regulatory Rules and SABIC Policies.

· Ensure Contract Entities are submitting Self Audits and Metrics as required by the Contractor Awards Program.

· Administer Contractor Disciplinary Program in a consistent manner and ensure that the Banned Contract Employee List is maintained.

· Ensure Contractor Incidents are keyed into eSHEMs, Investigations are Completed, and all action Items are completed and closed.

· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.

· Maintain computer and manual filing systems.

· Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

· Lead and Take accurate minutes of meetings and notes. Ensure Contractor Meeting Binders are up to date and ready for audit review.

· Ability to maintain CONFIDENTIALITY in all aspects of position.

· All other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or higher degree preferred or extensive EHSS Experience Required.

· At least 7 years of relative EHSS experience.

· Minimum OSHA 510/511

· Certified Safe-Start Trainer or willing to become certified within 4 months of hire.

· Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.

· Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

· Ability to work independently or to Lead Teams.

· Attention to detail and problem solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational and planning skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to gauge the audience and deliver the message at the group level, while being able to deal one on one with individuals. Ability to deal with difficult circumstances while remaining calm.

· Ability to deal head on with EHSS rules violations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42.00 - $46.00 per hour
